2. Information we collect

• Information you provide: name, work email, company, job role, message content, waitlist responses, support requests, and other information you choose to submit.
• Account and organization information: user identifiers, organization membership, permissions, authentication records, and settings needed to provide and secure the service.
• Advertising-platform information: when an authorized customer connects an advertising account, PacePilot may retrieve account, campaign, budget, spend, pacing, and related reporting data. PacePilot's V1 integrations are read-only and do not create or modify campaigns, bids, audiences, creatives, or platform budgets.
• Usage and device information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, and interactions with the website or service.
• Cookies and similar technologies: identifiers and activity information used for site operation, security, analytics, and understanding marketing performance.

3. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, from the organization that gives you access to PacePilot, and from advertising platforms or other services that you or your organization authorize us to connect.

4. How we use information

• Provide, operate, secure, maintain, and improve PacePilot.
• Calculate and display pacing, budget-governance context, and related operational records.
• Respond to inquiries, provide support, manage waitlist or beta access, and send service-related communications.
• Understand website and product usage, measure marketing performance, and improve content and user experience.
• Detect misuse, investigate incidents, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal obligations.

5. Analytics, cookies, and forms

We use Google Tag Manager to manage measurement technologies and may use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Mixpanel, and ZoomInfo to understand visits, interactions, and marketing performance. Mixpanel analytics are configured to remain off until a visitor accepts optional analytics through our consent control. We use HubSpot to operate website forms, manage submissions, and communicate with people who request information or join the waitlist.

These providers may process device, usage, cookie, and form information under their own privacy terms and our service arrangements. You can decline optional analytics when our consent control is shown and can limit cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site features. We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals because there is no consistent industry standard for interpreting them.

6. How we share information

We may share personal information with:

• Service providers that support hosting, authentication, databases, analytics, forms, communications, security, and other business operations, including Vercel, Clerk, Supabase, Google, Microsoft, Mixpanel, ZoomInfo, and HubSpot as applicable.
• Your organization and its authorized administrators or users when you use PacePilot through that organization.
• Professional advisers and authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or establish or defend legal claims.
• A successor organization in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define certain analytics or advertising-related disclosures more broadly as a sale or sharing. You may contact us to exercise any applicable opt-out right.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, maintaining security and audit records, meeting contractual obligations, resolving disputes, and complying with law. Retention periods vary by the type of information, the customer relationship, and legal requirements. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that no longer identifies you.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe information associated with PacePilot has been compromised, contact us promptly.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activity. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or complain to a privacy regulator.

To make a request, email privacy@pacepilot.io. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

10. International data transfers

PacePilot and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where data-protection laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

11. Children's privacy

PacePilot is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the date above. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required.
